Phat Phap Tang Bao

Another coin widely attributed to the rebel Tran Cao is the seal script Phat Phap Tang Bao shown in figure 24.3. 'Phat Phap' literally means the way of the Buddha and supposedly reflects Tran Cao's claim to be the Buddha's living re-incarnation. Ding Fu Pao and other works attribute the coin the Tran Cao, however Gosen gives no such attribution.
